Jean Mae Andrews, 89, Sturgis, passed away peacefully at the Sturgis Regional Long Term Care Facility on August 8, 2014.

Jean was born to Archie and Hazel (Goss) Williams on May 9, 1925. Following graduation from high school she began working as a switchboard operator at the Northwestern Bell Office in Lead. Later she began working at the Miners and Merchants Bank in Lead and remained in the banking business for many years until her retirement in August of 1986 from the Wells Fargo Bank. After her retirement, she and husband, Bill moved to Sturgis where she enjoyed making new friends and volunteering for several civic organizations.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph "Bill" Andrews in Sturgis; son, Rodger (Becky) Andrews in Lead; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service is planned at a later date.
