IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jean Larae
Eisenhauer
October 10, 1931 – October 29, 2025
With heavy hearts we say good-bye, for now, to our loving Mom, Jean LaRae Eisenhauer. Jean passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the age of 94.
She was born in Baggs, Wyoming on Saturday, October 10, 1931, to Ralph and Frankie Jons. To that union Jean joined her older brother Richard Jons. Over the years Jean would gain an additional brother and three sisters, Shirley Ann, Karen Lynn, Wayne Dee, and Mary Lee. While living in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming Jean met and married her husband for life, Delbert (Del) Eisenhauer.
After WWII Jean and Del moved from Pine Bluffs to Upton, Wyoming. Jean and Del had six boys, Donn, Bob, Richard, John, Paul, and Mark. Throughout Jean's adult life she was very active in the Upton community. Jean belonged to the MRS Club, the Buffalo Creek Ladies Auxiliary, and a life long member of the United Methodist Church. Jean was a friend to anyone and family was very important to her. If you were family or a family friend you were family in Mom's eyes.
Jean (Mom) did many things over the years. She raised six strong willed boys (a job that was definitely not for the faint of heart), worked as a cook, then managed the school cafeteria until retiring. Jean was known for her fresh handmade mints, french bread, and cinnamon rolls. In the mid 80's Jean and Del bought the Taste-Freeze, remodeled it, and then opened it as the Dairy Del. They ran the Dairy Del until selling it to the current owner. Mom loved being outdoors, especially when it involved spending time with family and friends. Going camping with family and friends was a favorite activity. Growing up we always had a massive garden that Mom loved to tend to and watch things grow. Crocheting was another activity Mom loved to do. Many family members and friends have one of Mom's personally crocheted afghans.
Jean is survived by sons, Bob (Donna) and family, Paul (Samantha) and family, and Mark; sisters, Shirely Ann and Mary Lee; and brother, Wayne Dee. Many grandsons, granddaughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters, nieces and nephews.
Jean is preceded in death by her mother, Frankie; father, Ralph; husband, Del; sons; Donn, Richard, and John; her brother, Richard; and sister, Karen Lynn.
