Jeannie Faye Triplet, 75 of Black Hawk, SD, was called home to be with the Lord on April 19th, 2023.

She was born to Virgil and Betty (Opland) Aker on May 12th, 1947, in Minot, ND. She was raised on a farm during her early childhood until her family moved to Des Lacs, ND, where she attended school and was an active member of the Rose Valley Lutheran Church. She graduated from Des Lacs Burlington in 1965.

After graduation she moved to Rapid City, SD, and worked for Bennett Clarkson Hospital. Not long after moving to Rapid City she met Bill Triplet, Jr. and they were married at Zion Lutheran Church on November 10th, 1967, and were later blessed with 3 boys. At that time, she was a devoted Sunday School teacher at Zion Lutheran Church and a stay-at-home mother. Later in life she decided to go back to school and graduated with Honors from Western Dakota Technical Institute in 1997 with an associate degree in accounting. After graduating Jeannie worked as an accountant at the YMCA of Rapid City and as a Dietary Aide for Rapid City Regional Hospital. After retiring she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved being outdoors, including hunting with her husband and camping in the Big Horn Mountains, she also enjoyed watching movies and was passionate about John Wayne.

Jeannie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Triplet, Jr. of Black Hawk, SD; along with her three sons, Bee Triplet of Black Hawk, SD, Cary (Debbie) Triplet of Roseville, CA, and Eric (Melissa) Triplet of Rapid City, SD; her three siblings, Gina Albert of Sturgis, SD, Mitchell (Crystal) Aker of Sweet Home, OR, Marlyn Aker of Sweet Home, OR; her six grandchildren, Trinity Triplet, Sarah Triplet, Aidan Triplet, Kaytlyn Triplet, Ashlyn Triplet, and Destiny Triplet, and many beloved nieces & nephews.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil & Betty Aker; and her brother, Mick Aker.
