Jeffery Miles Marvin, age 62, of Gillette, WY, died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Fort Meade VA Medical Center of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Black Hill National Cemetery near Sturgis. Military honors will be provided by Sturgis Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends are asked to gather at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, prior to going to the cemetery.
Jeffery was born April 9, 1950, the son of Scott Wilbur and Marietta (Parks) Marvin in Hays, KS. His family moved to Newcastle, WY, in July of 1959. Jeffery graduated from Newcastle High School in 1968. He was inducted in the Army 25th Infantry Division, August 20, 1969, and was honorably discharged October 29, 1970. He served in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart.
He married Elizabeth Ruby Spaulding on February 22, 1989, and was divorced July 21, 1993. He then married Ruth Janette Bowen on October 9, 1993, and was divorced December 11, 1996.
Jeffery was creative in wood making projects. He enjoyed visiting with friends and last but not least, he enjoyed a good ride on his Harley.
He will be missed greatly by his friends and family. Jeffery is survived by his sister, Carolyn Christine Marvin, his nephew, Michael Dean Marvin, and extended family Kathy, Brian, Kevin, and Jeremy McCoy, and Gary Williams all of Gillette, Wyoming.
