Jeffrey Dana Lindsay, 25, Billings, MT, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident near Billings.
Visitation will be noon until 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with the family present from 5 p.m. until 7.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis with Pastor Denzel Nonhof officiating. Burial follows at the Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.
A memorial has been established that will be used to honor Jeff's memory in aviation.
Jeff was born May 27, 1986 at Sioux Falls, SD, to Don and Peggy (Clausen) Lindsay. At the age of one year the family moved to Sturgis. Jeff attended school in Sturgis and graduated from Sturgis Brown High School in 2005. He attended SDSU for one year, South Dakota School of Mines for 2 years and was attending Rocky Mountain College where he was going to graduate in December with a degree in Aviation Science.
He had obtained his pilot's license for private, instrument, commercial and was completing his multi-engine and instructor license.
Jeff loved skiing, golfing, hiking, fishing, playing games with his family, and hanging out with his friends. He was loved for his sense of humor, his laugh, smile and his great hugs. He was always the happiest when he was flying.
Celebrating his life with him were his parents, Don and Peggy Lindsay, Sturgis; sisters, Allison Lindsay, Sioux Falls, Katie Lindsay, Brookings, SD; grandparents, Ed and Bev Clausen, Clark, SD, Eunice Eller, Friend, NE; aunts and uncles, Larry and Mary Jo Johnson, Pierre, John and Carol Clausen, Pierre, Bob and Jackie Lindsay, Longmont, CO, Ken and Barb Lindsay, Friend, NE; cousins, Heather and Josh Redetzke, Eagan, MN, Robyn and David Bauer, Billings, MT, Chris and Amy Johnson, Davenport, IA, Tom Johnson, Moorhead, MN, Dawn Schleckenmeyer, Longmont, CO, Angie and Bruce Anderson, Longmont, CO, Jackie and Lance Larsen, Friend, NE.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dana Lindsay and special grandmother, Bette Allen.
