Obituary

Jerry Ray Goeringer, born December 4, 1933, at Grandfield, OK, to parents, Oswald Victor "Dutch" and Hattie May (Eberhart) Goeringer, went to be with his Savior on March 13, 2016. Jerry was a resident of Newell and Sun City, AZ.

Jerry married Mary Brewer on December 26, 1959, at Chattanooga, OK. They moved to South Dakota shortly after their marriage.

Jerry was a retired farmer and owner of Goeringer Aviation where he taught flying and was also a commercial spray pilot. He was very active in his churches in South Dakota and Arizona. He served on many city and county boards.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Timothy (Jamie) Goeringer, Prescott Valley, AZ, and Todd Goeringer, Newell; granddaughters, Joanne (Matt) Goeringer Gallaher, Prescott Vally, AZ, Kirsten (Adam) Goeringer Woxland, Gregory, SD, and Kaylee Dawn Goeringer, Sheridan, WY; great-grandchildren, Emma, Jack and Lucy Golleher and Eli and Anders Woxland; his brothers, Glen (Cleta) Goeringer, Abilene, TX, and Bill (Val) Goeringer, Gold Canyon, AZ; his sisters, Wilma Hoagland, Wichita Falls, TX, Nancy (JW) Bohl, Chattanooga, OK, and Linda Humble, Altus, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Tracy Kent Goeringer; granddaughter, Julie Goeringer; his parents, O.V. and Hattie Goeringer; and one brother, Dan Goeringer.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the Austin Auditorium at the Newell High School in Newell.
