Jill Kay Hirte, 69, Piedmont, died Monday, September 25, 2006 at Sturgis Regional Senior Care in Sturgis, SD after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Jill was born in Kensington, London, England on May 23, 1937 to George and Alice Mason-Wenn. She married Ronald D. Hirte on October 19, 1956. Jill is survived by her daughter Rhonda Karen Borden, two granddaughters who were her pride & joy, Jessica Karen Borden and Courtney Marie Borden all of Piedmont, SD., one sister Vivien Papageorgiou of Bristol England, one brother John Mason-Wenn of Ross-on-Wye England, and numerous nieces & nephews in England, Cyprus and the U.S. Jill was preceded in death by her father George Mason-Wenn, daughter Linda Karen Hirte, son Alan D Hirte, and husband Ronald D. Hirte and her mother Alice Mason- Wenn. Black Hills Funeral Home & Cremation Services have been entrusted with the arrangements. No services are planned. Inurnment will be at a later date at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Rapid City, SD. Jill will be missed greatly and always in our hearts.
