Jimmy Lee Steeves, born April 1st, 1970 to Robert and Carrie (Finn) Steeves, passed away September 18th, 2015 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Jimmy attended the Meade school District K-12, graduating in 1988 from Sturgis Brown High school.

He married Shohn Bryan on February 12th, 1995. Jimmy was the loving father to Jessica Anne Sturis and Aspen Lee Steeves and became the proud grandfather to Lucah Sky Cummings on July 6th, 2014.

Jimmy worked for various electrical companies before starting his own business, Primary Electric.

Jimmy, known to close friends as "Flip", loved cars and speed. The love he had for speed became relevant when he managed to "Flip" a car or two in high school. He was a lover of camping, water and fishing. His biggest smile came when he was casting a pole, spending time with his children and family, or listening to music. Jimmy's passion for music spilled over into quite the collection and became an influence on his children.

His raspy chuckle and voice was that of a heart filled with love.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Jessica Sturis and Aspen Steeves; parents, Robert and Carrie (Finn) Steeves; a beautiful granddaughter, Lucah Cummings; brother, Clark (Tanya) Steeves; nieces, Davin and Carlee Steeves, and numerous family members who will forever miss the twinkle in his eye and mischievous smile.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd at 2:00 pm at LifeSpring Wesleyan Church, 1638 Junction Ave, Sturgis, SD

A memorial has been established.
