John Raymond Bargo, 67, Rapid City, and formerly of Casper, Wyo., died Sunday Jan. 22, 2006, at the Fort Meade VA Hospital.
Visitation will be today, Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, with Pastor Dwight Peterson officiating. Burial with military honors follows at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
A memorial has been established to the VA Black Hills Hospice Unit.
John was born June 14, 1938 at Avondale, W.V. to Raymond and Larna (Ward) Bargo. He enlisted in the U.S Air Force and served his country from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1977. He married Marjorie Johnson in Casper, Wyo., on Sept. 29, 1978.
John worked as a mechanic for a gas company in Casper, Wyo. They lived in Wyoming from 1978 until 1993. John enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.
They moved to Rapid City in 1993 where they have lived since.
Survivors include his wife,son,3 step sons,2 daughters,his step-daughter, four brothers,three sisters and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Barbara, and one brother Willia
