John Stark Bryant, 72, passed away August 17, 2023 at Monument Health, Rapid City, SD.

John was born in Rapid City, SD, September 1, 1950 to Edna and Siebert Leach Bryant. He was the sixth child born of nine children.

John attended Harlow Elementary. He lived and worked on the Bryant Family Ranch for 25 years. In 1974 John worked for the irrigation district in Newell. He then moved to Piedmont to live with his grandmother until 1992. He returned to Newell for 10 years. John then moved to Tonya Baker's ranch for four years to work and help where needed. He returned to Newell again for a final four year-stint. After this he mainly lived in country assisted living places for the next 11 years, finally residing at Serenity Corner in Spearfish, SD.

John is survived by his brothers, David (Gracia) Bryant of Wakonda and Roy Bryant of Spearfish.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Leach Bryant; brothers, Louis, Elmer, Paul, and Dale Bryant; sisters, Mary (Ray) Baker and Ida (Clark) Tryon; nice, Chelsey Bryant; great niece, Vicky Evans; and nephew, Steven Bryant.
