John Robert Huber's Obituary
John Robert Huber, beloved husband and father passed from this life December 16, 2021 at Black Hills VA Health Care in Fort Meade, SD.
John was born in Huron, SD to Robert and Irene Huber. He lived in Woonsocket, SD. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. from 1969-1971, in which he served in Vietnam.
John married Sheila Huber in 1972. They were blessed with four children; Jessica (Craig) Brumley, Lincoln, NE.; Aaron Huber, Nemo, SD.; Jennifer (William) Neuschwander, Black Hawk, SD.; and Erik John Anthony Huber, Black Hawk, SD. He has four grandchildren, Gage Neuschwander, Box Elder, SD.; Hanah Neuschwander, Black Hawk, SD.; Miranda Brumley, Lincoln, NE.; and Felicia Brumley, Lincoln, NE.
John was employed by the railroad for 33 years. His hobbies included collecting WWI and WWII memorabilia. He also enjoyed spending time with family. He had exceptional wood-working and metal fabrication skills.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Huber; mother, Irene Huber; brothers, Richard and Brad Huber.
A private celebration will be held at a later date at the Black Hills National Cemetery with full Marine Honor Guard.
