John Peter McLaughlin, also known as "Two Dollars Johnny", 77, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at Custer Regional Senior Care.

John was born August 23, 1941 in Concord, New Hampshire to John and Ida (Lister) McLaughlin.  After high school he joined the US Navy.  John married Mary Louise Rose on April 28, 1962 in Norfolk, Virginia.  To this union two children were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida McLaughlin; brother, Ellie McLaughlin; and sister, Clara Leigh Holmes-Scull.

John is survived his loving wife of 56 years, Louise McLaughlin; son, John Peter (Megan) McLaughlin; daughter, Virginia Lee Clifton; brothers, Evans and Gary McLaughlin; and three grandchildren, John Edward McLaughlin, Shyana Marie Clifton, and Kylee Dawn Clifton.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
