Obituary

Joshua David "Josh" Natchke, 21, Gillette, Wyo., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, in Gillette, Wyo.

Visitation at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, and will resume on Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, one hour prior to the services at the church.

Funeral services will be on Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis, with Pastor Michael Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery.

Josh was born April 29, 1985, in Rapid City, to David and Donna (Baird) Natchke. He grew up in Sturgis and graduated from Sturgis Brown High School in 2003. Josh attended Western Dakota Vo-Tech and received an associate's degree in electronic technology in 2005. He worked for Wilson Welding in Gillette, Wyo., and in 2006, Collins Communication of Gillette, Wyo., Hired him.

Josh loved outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed motorcycles and snowmobiles. Josh played baseball as a youth in Sturgis through the Pony League. He had been playing slow-pitch softball in Gillette, Wyo.

Survivors include his parents, Dave and Donna Natchke, Sturgis; one brother, Sean Natchke, Sturgis; maternal grandmother, Gladys Nelson, Sturgis; paternal grandparents, Robert and Marlene Natchke, Newcastle, Wyo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His maternal grandfather, David C. Baird, and his beloved dog, Kibby, preceded him in death.

A memorial has been established to the Meade County Hunter Safety Program.
