Joyce Kaubisch, much loved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, walked gently into the arms of Jesus on Monday morning, November 7, 2022, with her beloved daughters sitting by her side.

Joyce Joann (Fahrenwald) Kaubisch was born June 1, 1937, in Steele City, Nebraska, to Don and Evelyn (Bestgen) Fahrenwald.

In the fourth grade they moved to South Dakota. At 14 years of age, she married the love of her life, Gus Kaubisch. To this union they had five children.

Joyce was a very hard-working left-hander and took immaculate care of her children and home. She never met a stranger and talked to everyone, taking care of many.  Working at the Fort Meade VA Canteen for 20 years she had an opportunity to share her smile with many; serving both our veterans and her many friends. One of her most cherished jobs was volunteering for the Sturgis Police Department. You can imagine two old ladies, mom in her 70's and her partner in her 80's and the looks they got! Someone even reported that two old ladies had stolen a cop car!

Joyce is survived by her five children, Gus (Sheryl) Kaubisch, Dennis (Johni) Kaubisch, Sandra Chamberlin, Juanita (Leroy) Harrington, and Scott (Shiela) Kaubisch; 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; gifted daughters, Melissa Sage and Kathie Jones; very special friends, Leith Simonson and Albert Harless; and siblings, Dee Dee (Dean) Dittus, Paulie (Jack) Trisler, and Chuck Fahrenwald.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gus Kaubisch; her parents, two brothers, and two grandchildren.
