Joyce was born January 31, 1945, in Deadwood, SD, to Ina and Edwin Dahlquist. Joyce married Sherman Orr on November 12, 1961, in Sturgis. Joyce will be remembered by her family for her quirky sense of humor. She loved to tell her grandchildren silly stories that always made them laugh. She will also be remembered for her unique Christmas presents she gave her children.

Joyce E. Orr, 72, Newell, died on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at her residence in Newell.

Survivors include her three sons, Brian Orr, Spearfish., SD; Wiley Orr, Newell, SD; and Charles Orr, Newell, SD; three daughters, LaDonna Styles, Charlotte, NC; Celo Dickey, Newcastle, WY; and Stacie Kehn, Sturgis, SD; one sister, Patricia Hilde, Twin Valley MN; one brother, Gary Asher, Gillette, WY; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister.

A memorial service for her immediate family will be held at a later date.
