Judy's ride began on August 6, 1945, in St. Paul, MN, and ended at her home on March 24, 2016, in Sturgis, SD.

Judy was the oldest of 7 children born to Ernest and Delores Salmon. She attended elementary and junior high schools in St. Paul and graduated from St. Paul Johnson Senior High School in 1963. She worked for Northwestern Bell from 1962 to 1979.

She married Michael Deutsch 50 years ago today, May 21, 1966. They were blessed with three sons: Todd, Brad and Ryan. The family moved to Denver, CO, in 1978, and to Sturgis, SD, in 1983. In 1995, her only grandchild, Jordan, was born ~~ the light of her life.

Judy loved to travel and took many trips and cruises. She enjoyed scrapbooking, card making, interior decorating, gardening, Scrabble, and spending time with her boys and granddaughter.

She was preceded by her mother, Delores; father, Ernest; and nephew, Blake.

She is survived by loving husband, Mike; sons, Todd, Brad, and Ryan; granddaughter, Jordan; siblings, Cheryl (Bob), Craig, Debbie, Kim (Guy), Joy, and Lori (Greg); sisters-in-law, Carol, Susie, and Lynda (Chuck); and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Judy's life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Bruce Baum officiating. Lunch will follow at the Sturgis Vet's Club.
