IN LOVING MEMORY OF
June B.
Schott
July 30, 1947 – January 29, 2016
June B. Schott was born July 30, 1947, in Arlington, VA, and was adopted by her affectionate, loving father, Robert D. and Katherine H. Baxter. June took her studies very seriously throughout her education and graduated from high school in Arlington, VA. Later, she continued her learning at Ft. Wright College, WA and Oklahoma State University, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology among her many achievements.
June was a very generous and caring person all through her life. Whether she was serving as a candy striper at a military hospital in the Philippines during the Vietnam War or in a civilian hospital in Washington, D.C., June provided assistance and comfort to many servicemen and patients.
In the 1980's, she was employed by the South Dakota Advocacy Project, Inc. as a Citizen Advocacy Consultant where she traveled extensively through the state to assist children, Veterans, and many others with receiving programs and support. After leaving this position, she continued to selflessly and silently devote much of her time and resources to helping animals, humanity, and our planet. "Love is of no value until it is freely given to another" - described June fully.
June passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016, at her home in Vale, SD, in the comforting presence of her loving cats, MJ and Mama.
Survivors include husband, Charles D. Warren, of Vale, SD; daughter, Tracy Clohan; granddaughter, Ashleigh Brown; great-grandchildren, Violet, Jackston and Adalynn; her son, Chistopher Clohan and grandson, Michael Brian. Surviving siblings include Jane Easton, Anne Burtcher, and Evelyn Hartman.
In lieu of services, those who wish to honor June's life are requested - by her husband/companion of 23 years, Charles D. Warren - to do so by donating to a charity of their choice or performing an act of kindness.
