Keith Anderson (July 1, 1929 - January 9, 2014) Keith Vincent Anderson was a loving father, husband, and friend. He was born on July 1, 1929 in Deadwood, SD. Son of Vincent and Mildred, Keith grew up in Enning, SD where he attended elementary school before his family moved to Sturgis, where he attended high school. Keith graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in physical science. Keith was an inventor and physical scientist. He used his inventions to bring television for the first time to most of the Western United States and throughout the Pacific Rim, including the Philippines and Australia. During this time he developed a deep and lasting love for the warm waters of the Pacific. He also was a pioneer in home satellite television and continued to bring television to many rural parts of America. Keith married Avonelle Kelsey in 1951, with whom he had four children: Mark, August, Alan, and Nola. He married Rosalinda Delarmente in March of 1975, with whom he had two children: Kennie and Lani. Keith Anderson passed away on January 9, 2014 at his beloved property in Black Hawk, SD. He is survived by his six children: Mark, August, Alan, Nola, Kennie, and Lani and five grandchildren: Shauna, Ian, Jerry, Athena, and Riley. He touched the hearts of everyone he met, was loved and adored by many, and will be severely missed. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Black Hills Funeral Home in Sturgis, SD. Burial will follow at the Bear Butte Cemetery.
