Kelton "Kelly" Feickert was born January 21, 1956, in Aberdeen, SD, to Elmer and Ardella (Schlepp) Feickert. The family lived in Aberdeen, SD, Minot, ND, and Valley City, ND, before moving to Rapid City in 1965. Kelton attended public schools in the Rapid City area and graduated from Central High School in 1974.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June 1974, and was honorably discharged in December 1974. He loved the ocean and enjoyed activities on the waterways. He earned several medals for diving during his school years. He loved to go fishing with family and friends.

He built and operated Kelly's Flooring in the 1980's. Prior to that, he worked in and managed the Sooper Dooper Bakery in Rapid City.

Kelton died January 23, 2018, after a lengthy illness. He was most happy to celebrate his 62nd birthday surrounded by his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Ardella; brother, Quinten (Eileen); sisters, Juel (Darrell) Farnsworth and Cheri (Kevin) Kenyon; son, Ryan; daughter, Kyla; and son, Corey (Amanda); granddaughter, Adalind; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer; and brothers, Douglas and Monty.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
