Kenneth Darwin McElwain (Darwin Gene Marks), was born on January 19, 1961, in Sisseton, SD. He was known to many as "Chief". Kenny went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2023, at the age of 62.

At 9 months old, Kenny, along with his older brother, Darrell was adopted by Lee and Jeanette McElwain. He attended grade school in Casper, WY, and Sturgis, SD. Upon graduating from High School, Kenny pursued a career in the Automotive industry. He studied Auto Body repair in Laramie, WY. Kenny was a man of many skills. His passion, however, was anything motorcycles. He owned/operated a few different businesses over the years, Colorado River Restorations in Parker, AZ, and Backyard Bobbers in Sturgis, SD, to name a few. Kenny has won many awards for his custom motorcycle builds. His greatest build and the one he is most proud of being his very own bike, "Son of Man". Learning from his Father, Lee, He also enjoyed creating anything from wood. Kenny was a kind man who could always find time for a good joke or two. He was patient, loving and always had the best advice and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Theresa of Sturgis; his mother, Jeanette of Sturgis; three sons, John (Shannon) of Sturgis, Jason (Christina) of Billings, MT; and Christopher Orr of Spearfish; and one daughter, Ashley of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Lee, brother, Darrell, sister, Lorna, son, Travis, and granddaughter, Phibie.
