Newell | Kenneth L. Tennant, 66 of Newell, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Ft. Meade VA Medical Center. Ken was born February 20, 1949 to Roy and Evelyn Tennant. He was the second of three children. He was raised and attended school in Lemmon, SD. He was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1967. On February 27, 1968 he was united in marriage to Donna Boynton. To this union one son was born - Robbie. He was united in marriage to Myra Schroeder in November of 1972. To this union two children were born - Brandy and Roy. Ken enjoyed playing music, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his three children, Robbie (Nikole) Tennant, Lemmon, Brandy Tennant, Rapid City and Roy Tennant, Newell; his mother Evelyn Tennant, Sturgis; grandchildren, Hope, Ashley, Beth, Gracie and Riley Tennant, Lemmon and Cassie Tennant, Rapid City; two sisters, Shirley (Brent) Kolstad, Rapid City and Donna (Jerry) Reisenauer, Bison and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad, Roy H. Tennant and his maternal and paternal grandparents. A private family graveside services will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
