Kenton Ray Stalder, 64, of Sturgis, South Dakota, passed away on November 20, 2025.

He was born in Deadwood, South Dakota, and spent his career as a gold miner with Homestake Mining Company and Barrick Goldstrike Mining Company. Kenton enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and had a gift for finding humor in every corner.

He is survived by his three children, Tia Vavra, Kenton Stalder, and Cameron Stalder, along with six grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his sister Kim and his five brothers, Cody, Kevin, Kenne, Kelly, and Marty (with an "M").

A service will be held at Whitewood Cemetery on Tuesday, November 25, at 1:00 p.m.

Kenton will be remembered by his family and friends for his hard work, his incredible generosity, and most of all his ability to make people laugh. He will be joining his beloved parents Joan and Leon Stalder along with his sister Kela.
