Kindra Kay Aaker was born December 9, 1964, to Floyd and Lila (Loughlin) Aaker in Sturgis, SD. She had one older sister, Connie, and they spent their whole lives by each other's side. She grew up in Bison, SD. Kindra faced many obstacles. She was short in stature but big in personality.

She was her grandma Loughlin's little angel.

Kindra's spunk, wit, stubbornness, and good heart made her taller than anyone else. She loved children and capturing life's greatest moments on camera. Kindra had a love of basketball and was a huge fan of the Winner Warriors and the Bison Cardinals. She worked at the Bison Bar for thirteen years and met many new friends throughout those years.

Kindra was diagnosed with cancer in the spring of 2015. She fought that battle hard and with the grace and fortitude that she did with every other obstacle she ever faced.

She was set free to be with her beloved mom and dad on February 13, 2017, at 2:17 a.m. surrounded by those that loved her most.

She is survived by her sister, Connie, and one niece, Brittnee, both of Bison. Kindra loved Brittnee very much and Brittnee loved her back. She is also survived by her three favorite puppies, Spud, Copper, and Mystique. She has 2 surviving aunts, Ellen Schick and Liz Loughlin, both of Sturgis, SD; many cousins; and lots of friends who were more like family.

She was preceded in death by her dad and mom; both sets of grandparents, Floyd and Ruth Loughlin and Ole and Ella Aaker; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 pm with family services at 1:00 p.m. until service time on Friday, February 17, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017, at the American Lutheran Church in Bison with Pastor Tera Lowe officiating. She will be buried at the Bison cemetery next to her mom. Lunch will be served after the burial at the American Lutheran Church in the basement.

A memorial has been established.
