RAPID CITY | Kirt A. Fulkerson, 48, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2016. He was born on May 15, 1968, in Sonora, California. He attended Summerville High in Tuolumne, CA and graduated in 1986. Upon graduation, he entered the Navy. He served from February 1987 until February of 1991. During these years, he served in the Gulf War.

Kurt married Michelle in April 1997. To this union, they had one son, Adam Wade Fulkerson.

Kirt is survived by his brothers, Brett Fulkerson, Sonora, CA, and Rand Fulkerson, Tuolumne, CA; his son, Adam Fulkerson, Lander, Wyoming; his step-son, Chad Montgomery (Walnut Creek, CA); and his parents, Joe and Nadine Fulkerson, Tuolumne, CA.

Kirt is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wade and Elizabeth Fulkerson, and Theodore and Barbara Bostrom.

Cremation has taken place upon request. No local services are planned.
