Laura Shelley Luckman, 57, Sturgis, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Sturgis Regional Long Term Care Center.

Services will be 4:30 p.m. at the Messiah Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule with Mr. Kim Fonder Sr. officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery.

Laura was born September 29, 1951 at Los Angeles, CA, to Ralph and Betty Lou (Hadden) Haddock.

She enjoyed working in her rock garden, planting, gardening and the music of Brule. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Reading was a passion of her. She also made jewelry.

Survivors include her sons; Jake Luckman, Auburn, CA, Michel Hatfield, Los Angeles, CA, Iven Luckman, Auburn, CA, Seth Luckman, San Diego, CA, and Charles Luckman, Sacramento, CA; daughters, Cora Luckman, Lead, SD, Dawn Grooms, Rapid City; one brother, Chuck Flanagan, Los Angeles, CA; nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
