Leona Maria Jensen, 65, Black Hawk, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Fr. Steve Biegler officiating. Inurnment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Leona was born April 6, 1947, at Selfridge, ND. She was raised and attended school in McIntosh, SD. She attended Bernal Hairstyling College in Bismark, ND, and worked as a hairdresser for many years. She owned her own business in McIntosh for 8 years. She moved to Rapid City in 2007 and worked at Wal Mart for 6 years.
Survivors include her husband, David Jensen, Black Hawk; two sons, Joe (Jami) Campbell, Sterling, CO, and Jeff Campbell, Atwood, CO; two daughters, Leah (Larry) Jung, Isabel, SD, and Lori (Kelly) Unruh, Hebron, ND; seven grandchildren, Kaci and Derrik Campbell, Jordan and Chance Campbell, LaNay Jung, and Kane and Kanyon Unruh; five sisters, Helen Walters, Aurora, CO, Frances (Paul) Hall, Cleveland, GA, Regina (Ed) Block, McIntosh, SD, Rose Huber, White Hall, AR, and Theresa (Gene) Glines, McIntosh, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Angeline Schneider; brother, Jack; sister, Josephine; paternal and maternal grandparents; and brother-in-law, Steve Walter.
