Linda was born March 2, 1950, at Deadwood, SD, to Earl and Eileen (DeLange) Swanson. Linda graduated from Buffalo High School May 22, 1970. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Sturgis Hospital. She then went on to work at SCI as a computer builder for many years until her health made her retire.

Linda and Aldon Holter were married October 31, 2001, in Sturgis, SD. Aldon passed away June 20, 2011.

Linda Marie Holter, 66, Rapid City, died Saturday, November 5, 2016, at David M. Dorsett Healthcare.

Linda is survived by her brother, Russell (Linda) Swanson; sister, Sharon (Wayne) Vollmer; sister-in-law, Jeannie (Jerry) Talkington; nephews, Jeremy (Trisha) Vollmer and Jamie (Karma)Vollmer; nieces, Josie Vollmer, Heather Painter, and Christina (Robert) Lutzick and their families; and aunts, Natalie DeLange, Marcella DeLange and Margaret "Micky" (George) Gibroch.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband; son, Harold, Jr.; her parents; and brother, Sam Swanson.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD, with Pastor Nick Haasch officiating.

A memorial has been established to Rapid City Regional Dialysis Unit.
