Linda Rae Wang, 56, Vale, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.
Visitation was Wednesday, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., at Kinkade Funeral Chapel, and Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church in Whitewood.
Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Whitewood, with Rev. Deb Geelsdottir officiating. Burial followed in the Whitewood Cemetery.
Linda was born Feb. 18, 1949, at Kadoka, to Charles Raymond and Leota Elizabeth (Green) Shouldis. She grew up with her brothers, Wayne and Cliff, and her sister, Donna, on the Shouldis farm near White River. She attended school in White River.
Linda married Homer Allen Wang at Sturgis on April 5, 1966. They lived off and on through the years on the Wang farm near White River and in the Black Hills until finally settling down in 1980, when they moved to Whitewood. In August 1997, they fulfilled a long-time dream and purchased land near Vale, where Linda acquired many friends throughout the Vale area.
Linda had several jobs throughout her life, but one that she cherished the most was working at the Diner in Whitewood. She enjoyed the company of fellow employees that became close friends.
Linda was a member of the Vale Lutheran Church.
She left behind her husband, Homer Wang, Vale; three daughters and their husbands, Karmon and Donald Albright, Hulett, Wyo., Victoria and Greg Albright, Whitewood, and Amanda Wang and Casey Weber, Rock Springs, Wyo.; one son, Jason Wang, Vale; eight grandchildren; her mother, Leota Shouldis, White River; two brothers, Wayne Shouldis and Clifford Shouldis, both of White River; and one sister, Donna Adrian, White River.
Her father preceded her in death.
A memorial has been established.
