Obituary

Lois Jean Brink, 90, Sturgis, died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Our House in Sturgis.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Central Meade County Community Center in Union Center on Tuesday.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Central Meade County Community Center in Union Center with Pastor Wes Labrier and Pastor Harold Delbridge officiating. Burial follows at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Red Owl.

Lois was born April 5, 1922 at Mitchell, SD, to Jesse and Agnes (Halverson) Raymond. She grew up two miles north of Union Center. Lois attended grade school at the Sunshine country school which was one mile west of the family ranch.

She worked in Seattle, WA as Rosie the Riveter for Boeing building airplanes during the war years.

Lois also worked in Omaha, NE in 1945.

On January 1, 1946, she married Frank W. Brink in Sturgis, SD. They ranched for many years, north west of Union Center.

Lois was a member and president of the Union Center Mission Circle for many years.

Survivors include one sister, June Mickelson, White Owl, SD; sister in laws, Jean O'Grady, White Owl, Margie Matthews, Roseburg, OR, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her parents, one brother, John and sister Thelma Heaton.

A memorial has been established to Our House in Sturgis. It is a beautiful home run by Norma Weyer, Bonnie Wilson and Tammy.
