Lois Irene (Vest) Saccento, the daughter of I. Warren and Elva (Loobey) Vest, was born on December 22, 1927, in Goldfield, Iowa. She graduated from Goldfield High School in 1945. On June 29, 1947, Lois was united in marriage to Vincent J. Saccento in Maspeth, NY. The couple made their home in Maspeth before moving to Goldfield on September 15, 1950, where they raised three children. Vincent preceded her in death on October 19, 1990.

Lois was an active member of the Goldfield United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, serving as Secretary and Treasurer for many years. She also loved traveling, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles and watching baseball. Lois worked for Goldfield State Bank for over 30 years, retiring in 1989.

Lois passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, in Rapid City, SD, at the age of 87 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Vest (Alice), son Vincent, Jr., granddaughter, Andrea Guy and great-granddaughter, Ansley Gearhart. Lois is survived by her daughters, Irene Adamson (Delmar) of Goldfield and Leanna Saccento-Glover (Brad) of Sturgis, SD; five grandchildren: Robert, Colter, Mitch, Joe and Sara; 12 great-grandchildren: Nesha, Cassie, Candi, Andrew, Austin, Samantha, Riley, Gillian, Ethan, Nolan, Cruz and Cylas and two great great-grandchildren: Zander and Kaiden.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Goldfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Gardner officiating. Visitation is Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
