Obituary

Louise Mary Muinos Felion, 88, Belle Fourche, South Dakota, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at Rolling Hills Healthcare in Belle Fourche. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Inurnment will follow in the Vale Cemetery.

Louise Mary Smith Muinos Felion was born September 28, 1937 to Mathew Clair and Barbara (Bertolotto) Smith in Deadwood. She was a country girl who grew up on a farm in Vale. She loved her animals that she had over the years growing up.

She graduated from Vale High School in 1955. Louise married Russell Felion and they lived in Sturgis, Whitewood, Vale and Belle Fourche. Throughout her years, she had several jobs from being a nursing assistant at the Sturgis Hospital to being a prep-cook-salad making gal. She was also a cashier at Ben Franklin in Belle. Louise loved working in the public and had many friends over the years. She moved to Idaho and was an assistant manager near her home at a gas station.

Louise loved her family. They were all her pride and joy throughout her life. She loved her friends deeply.

Her hobbies included crafting, sewing clothes for her family and baking for everyone.

Louise is survived by her children, Betty (Randy) O’Dea, Vale, Cindy (Ron) King, Belle Fourche, Kenny (Mary Jo) Felion, Minnesota, Mike Felion, Arizona and Tina Felion, Custer; brothers and sister, Vince (Karen) Smith, Washington, Larry (Vicki) Smith, Washington, Kay (Rodney) Stark, Rapid City; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Barbara; an infant brother; brother, Jim Smith; one infant son and one nephew.
