Obituary

Lowell was born on February 13, 1927, to Frank and Mathilda Neiman in Beemer, Nebraska. Lowell Neiman served 2 years in the Army. When he came out of the service he met Sybil M. Meyer. He married her on May 30, 1948.

Lowell Neiman enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, but he truly loved playing cards. After the Rapid City flood of 1972, he started up Neiman Construction Co. and built many homes in Rapid City and surrounding areas.

Lowell Rudolph Neiman passed away July 5, 2018, at Spearfish Regional Hospital in Spearfish, SD, at the age of 91.

Lowell Neiman is survived by his daughters, Sherry A. (Steve P.) Lux of Hot Springs Village, AR, and Vicki J. Sharp of Spearfish, SD; five grandchildren, Stephen M. (Jamie) Lux of New Braunfels, TX, Stacy A. (Leslie) Looney of Searcy, AR, William Howard Higgins of Houston, TX, Sara A. Moorehouse of Grover Beach, CA, and Julia E. Sharp of Grover Beach, CA; four great-grandchildren, Joshua P. Lux of New Braunfels, TX, Elizabeth A. Lux of New Braunfels, TX, Emily A. Brooks of Searcy, AR, and Megan R. Looney of Searcy, AR; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1630 Rushmore Road, Rapid City, SD, with the burial to follow with full military honors at 2:30 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
