RAPID CITY -- Lucile Mae (Delbridge) Davis, 80 of Rapid City, went to be with the Lord with her family by her side, December 10, 2011 in Rapid City. Lucile being the youngest of seven children was born March 6, 1931 to David E. and Susan E Delbridge. She grew up on the ranch near Howes, SD and attended high school in Sturgis. She met the love of her life Leo E. Davis. They married August 29, 1947. To this union came five children. Lucile and Leo operated an excavating business for 40 years. Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Charles (Carol) Davis, Darrell Davis, Leona Clubbs and Carolyn (Lyle) Hunt; 7 grandchildren, Mike (Monica) Davis, Pricilla Palmer, Pam (Mark) Thompson, Sherry Davis Edward Boykin, Corey Clubbs, Heather (Wade) Mosley and Mindy (David) Marling; 11 great-grandchildren, Melissa and Tyler Davis, Shayleene and Shauna Clubbs, Matthew, Makienzie, Sierra and Savannah Marling, Raymond (Kassi), Chelsie and Dustin Huseby; a great- great granddaughter, Ember Lucile Huseby; one brother, Ernest Delbridge and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; an infant son, Dale; her parents, David and Susan Delbridge; a granddaughter, Tanya Denke; three sisters, Grace Delbridge, Clara Miller and Mary Harris and two brothers, Everett and Albert Delbridge. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday December 14, 2011 at Black Hills Funeral Home in Sturgis, S.D. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15 at the funeral home with Rev. Harold Delbridge officiating. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. A memorial has been established in Lucile's name for Alzheimer's research.
