She attended the National College of Business. Lucy began her career in banking with the Pennington County Bank in 1940. She started as a teller and worked in every department through vice president of operations. The bank was also known as the National Bank of South Dakota and First Bank. Lucy met Maurice Crow while he was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base and the couple was married on April 11, 1945 in Rapid City. In April of 1972, the couple moved to Silver City where they have lived since.
Lucy and Morry, along with Al and Lorraine Alberts, started the Silver City Volunteer Fire Department in 1967. They have always been strong supporters. She was recognized for her 30 years of service raising money for Ag Scholarships that are awarded during the Black Hills Stockshow. She loved to play bingo and cribbage and was successful at both.
