OSAGE, Wyo. - Lyle "Duane" Carlson, 87, Osage, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at Weston County Manor in Newcastle.

Survivors include his wife, Elda Carlson, Osage; six sons, Mike Carlson, Colony, Gary Carlson, Hitchcock, S.D., Jerald Carlson, Newcastle, Chester "Sonnie" Carlson, Osage, Ricky Hoff, Anchorage, Alaska, and Ivan Hoff, Seattle; five daughters, Dianne Corey, Sioux Falls, S.D., Zena Hieb, Loveland, Colo., Kim Thomas, Redding, Calif., Vickie Solmonson, Newcastle, Marilyn Bushaw, Federal Way, Wash.; four sisters, Ardith Petershagen, Sioux Falls, Joan Kelly and Julia Cropp, both of Carlsbad, Calif., and Nancy Higgins, Emmett, Idaho; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be for three hours before services, which will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, S.D., with the Rev. David Baer officiating.

Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, with military honors by the Sturgis Veterans Honor Guard.

A memorial has been established to the St. Joseph's Children's Home in Torrington.
