Marcus Allen Kindsfater, 21, Sturgis, died Sunday, September 23, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident.

Visitation will be noon until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012, at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Sturgis.

Marcus was born July 20, 1991, at Belle Fourche, SD, to Steve and Lori (Dunbar) Kindsfater. He grew up in Sturgis where he attended Sturgis Public Schools. He participated in football and track. His favorite subjects included science, agriculture, and socializing with his wide circle of friends. After completing his education, he was employed as a beekeeper near Belfield, ND. He worked in the oil patch for a year before moving back to Sturgis. At the time of his death he was a heavy equipment operator in construction.

Marcus enjoyed listening to music, hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, the outdoors, and his great friends.

Survivors include his father, Steve Kindsfater, Sturgis; mother, Lori Breth, Sturgis; brother, Cory Kindsfater, and sister, Cami Kindsfater, both of Sturgis; maternal grandfather, Bill Dunbar, Sturgis; and paternal grandparents, Ralph Kindsfater, Corpus Christi, TX, and Marilyn Kindsfater, Belfield, ND.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandmother, Doris Dunbar, and his uncle, Randy Kindsfater.

A memorial has been established in memory of Marcus at the First Interstate Bank in Sturgis.
