Margaret Lou Fogelman, 80, Sturgis, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Church of Christ in Sturgis with Pastor Calvin Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 13, 2014, from 8:00am to time of service.

Margaret was born on January 22, 1934, to Paul and Jurena (Mammanga) Jerman at Canistota, South Dakota. She grew up in the Parker and Canistota area. She married Glenn Fogelman in Parker on February 25, 1954. They lived in Georgia while Glenn was in the Army until his honorable discharge in 1955. They then moved to Chanceller, South Dakota and farmed in Turner County until 1971. They bought a ranch near Opal in 1971 where they raised four children. Together, they sold the ranch in September of 2013 and moved to Sturgis.

Margaret and Glenn have been active members of the Church of Christ in Faith for many years. They then joined the Church of Christ in Sturgis in 2013.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Glenn, Sturgis; sons, Daniel Fogelman, Faith, David (Barbara) Fogelman, Hico, TX, and Brian (Cheri) Fogelman, Weatherford, TX; daughter, Gwen Miller, Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Arlene Van Westen, TX; eight grandchildren, two step-grandsons, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.
