Margaret Sheeler died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at the Sturgis Regional Senior Care Center.
There will be a private family inurnment in Pine Slope Cemetery.
Margaret Sheeler was born March 24, 1914, at Chicago, Ill., to Fred and Florence Chiller. The family moved to a homestead north of Belle Fourche where she grew up along with her three younger brothers and sisters.
In 1934 she married Al Sheeler and they lived in Pennsylvania for a few years. The couple then moved back to Belle Fourche where they lived until 1944. The next four years were spent in California where Margaret worked in a factory. In 1948 they purchased a farm in Vale where she lived and raised her family.
Margaret was one of the Jehovah's Witnesses for all of her adult life, always being very active in the ministry. Survivors include her son Sheldon and his wife Marilyn Sheeler of Gillette, Wyo.; daughter Lydia Fredekind of Vale; daughter-in-law Ellen Sheeler of Vale; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Gertie Nelson; brothers, Ted, Bill, and Eugene Chiller; her son, Jim Sheeler; and a great-grandson.
