Marie Ann Frey, 97, Whitewood, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at Sturgis Regional Health Care Center.

Marie was born to Charles August Baker & Philomene (Bestgen) Baker on May 9, 1909. She married Frank Gerald Frey (1899-1995) in 1928.

Survivors include three sons, Frank C. Frey Jr. and Paul J. Frey, both of Sturgis, and Robert A. Frey, Gillette, Wyo.; two daughters, Audrey M. Masters, Yakima, Wash., and Linda Harwood, Sturgis; two sisters, Frances Baker, Sturgis, and Clarine Harter, Whitefish, Mont.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8 at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, with a rosary and Christian prayer service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis, with the Rev. Arnold Kari officiating. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to St. Martin's Chapel.
