Marjorie E. (Lei) Lyons, 96, Sturgis, South Dakota, went to her heavenly reward on Friday, February 10, 2023.

She was born to Edna (Hutter) Lei and William Giphart Lei on January 2, 1927.Marj was raised in a family with three sisters, Katherine Longden, Dorothy Farrell and Marie Smith. She married Irvin E. Lyons on January 6, 1945 and to this union 8 eight children were born; William (Bill) and Pierrette, Janice (Jan) and Michael, John (Dick), James (Jim) and Glennette, Robert, (Bob), David (Dave), Kenneth (Ken) and Becky, and Tammy (Tam) and Gery.

Marj was a stay-at-home 'Mom" – she loved her family and let us all know it. She loved doing needle work, crossword puzzles, crocheting, and, her favorite, cross-stich.

She is survived by seven children, 20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by her family. Someday we will all join her in heaven.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, Sturgis, SD.
