Marjorie Louise Felion, 72, Sturgis, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at her home in Sturgis
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Pastor Herbert B. Cleveland officiating. Inurnment follows at the Vale Cemetery.
Marjorie was born July 26, 1937 at Buffalo, SD, to Frederick and Mary Leona (Moseley) Meyer. She attended school at Ekalaka, MT. She worked on a ranch west of Camp Crook for 15 years before moving to Belle Fourche. She moved to Newell and then to Custer where she worked at the Mica mines. She moved to Spearfish and cared for her mother. She also worked at Ft. Meade where she met Ken Felion. They were married at Rapid City on November 12, 1970.
In 1980 the family moved to Sturgis where they lived until 1995 when they moved to Whitewood for a couple of years. They returned to Sturgis in 1997 and Marjorie retired from Ft. Meade after 31 years of service.
Survivors include her son Darwin Felion, Roswell, GA; two daughters, Tracey Tupa, Newcastle, WY, Terri Jo Felion, Sturgis; also one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Donald Lafayette and one grandson, Randall Hemenway.
