Marjorie was born Saturday, May 19, 1945, in Baker, MT, to Harley and Josephine (Lee) Celander. It was there in Baker where she met her husband of 47 years, Kent Lyons. Marj and Kent lived all over the Midwest and California, and had three sons along the way: Troy Dennis Lyons, Kirby Dean Lyons, and Kory Lee Lyons. They moved to Pleasanton, TX, in 1989. She went to work at Jourdanton State Bank in 1992 and made Texas her final home. She loved her job, her customers, her friends, and her family more than anything else. She was a special woman that you could always count on...especially if it meant a dose of honesty, not sugar coated. She will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Marjorie Ann Lyons, age 73, of Pleasanton, TX, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in Austin, TX.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Kory Lee (Cara) Lyons and Kirby Dean Lyons; brothers, John and Bob Celander; and sister, Barbara Rugg. She is also survived by her grandsons, Dustin and Trevor.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Kent Lyons; son, Troy Lyons; and brothers, Dennis, Ronald and Howard Celander.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton, TX.

Interment will be Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
