Mark (Bub) Edmund Bradley, 68, Sturgis, SD, died Thursday, June 7, 2007.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Arnold Kari officiating and burial will follow at the St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Mark E. (Bub) Bradley was born in Sturgis, SD on November 25, 1938 to Edmund and Laura (Higgins) Bradley. The family home was at Marcus, SD where he lived the first 18 months of his life. His mother passed away and he was raised by his Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Matt Bradley at Plainview, SD. He attended the first grade at Teepee Creek School and than attended and graduated from St. Martins Academy in Sturgis, SD. After high school, he enlisted in the US Army and was stationed at Fort Ord, California and Korea.
Bub was married to Lucile J. Vavruska in Bear Butte Valley, November 3, 1967. Since that time he has been an owner and involved in several business in the Sturgis area. He was very active and devoted to the Catholic Church in Sturgis.
Survivors include his wife, Luci Bradley, Sturgis; one son, Rodney Bradley, Sturgis; one daughter, Kerrie (Garrick) Applegate and their two children, Taylar and Payton, Sturgis; special nephew, Mark (Leslie) Bradley of Modesto, CA, two brothers, Jim (Thelma) Bradley, Sturgis, Charles (Pat) Bradley, Carson City, NV; two sisters, Mary (Len) White of Sturgis and Sharon Weber, Rapid City, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
