Mark Larry Isaak, 50, Spearfish, passed away July 6, 2014, after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, South Dakota
Mark was born December 8, 1963, to Larry and Phyllis Isaak. He attended Lead High School and graduated in the class of 1982. Mark worked at Homestake Gold Mine as a contract miner and later as a driller at Peabody Energy Powder River Basin.
Mark, known to his friends as "Sparky" touched the lives of everyone who he knew. He was a loving father of four wonderful children and a grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren, whom he adored. Mark enjoyed the outdoors, taking a morning drive through the Black Hills and loved watching Nascar.
Survivors include his parents, Larry and Phyllis; son, Jaaron (Maranda) Isaak; daughters, Brooklyn Isaak (Josh Ryan), Tonisha Isaak (Dustin Mund), and Tierney Isaak; four grandchildren, Aliyah, Jaxson, Kaitlynn and Brecklynn; a brother, John (Karen) Isaak; two nieces; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also has a group of very special friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncle, Merlyn Isaak; and one cousin, Kelly Irion.
