Obituary

Mark D. Weber, 70, of Rapid City, SD, died Sunday, November 27, 2022, in Rapid City, SD.

Mark was born February 1, 1952, in Tyler, Minnesota to Clem and Joan Weber.  He attended school in Rapid City and Sioux Falls, graduating from Washington High School in Sioux Falls.  Mark and Dar were united in marriage on June 6, 1992, on a beautiful Pactola day surrounded by loved ones on pontoon boats.

Mark was proud to be the Business Agent for the Teamsters Local 749 for the majority of his working years.  Leading into retirement Mark was also employed by Roadway, Nielsen Construction, and at Rapid City Solid Waste Division.

Mark had a huge zest for life.  His love of Corvettes and the numerous Corvette adventures with good friends always made great memories. He was a big hot rod enthusiast.  Mark owned numerous boats from pontoons for social time with family and friends to speed boats where he was most proud of water skiing on Christmas day.  Socializing with friends and family was always very important to Mark.  Mark couldn't go into any store without running into someone he knew.  If Dar was with him, she could always find him by hearing his infectious laugh. His love for peanut butter on nearly everything he ate will be remembered by all his family. Mark's last days were filled with fun and laughter, with time spent with his niece Cali and her girls Harper and Kinsley.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene; his son, Jeremy; stepdaughter, Laurie Hurd; grandsons, Brett (Amy) Hurd and Logan Svihovec; great-grandson, Caden Hurd; brother, Keven Weber; and sister, Julie Weber.  Mark also cared deeply for many other family members.

Family and friends were always very important to Mark.  He kept those that passed before him close to his heart.

Mark passed away unexpectedly from medical complications on November 27, 2022, at his home.  To honor Mark's wishes there will not be any funeral services.  He would want to be remembered like he was, full of life and always there to help family and friends.

Services will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established and donations may be sent to Kinkade Funeral Chapel, 1235 Junction Avenue, Sturgis, SD  57785.
