NEWELL - LaVonne M. Wahlfeldt, 83, Newell, died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.

On November 12, 1943, LaVonne married Glen Wahlfeldt. They lived on the ranch until 1997 when they sold the ranch and moved to Newell.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Wahlfeldt, Newell; two sons, Wes Wahlfeldt, Belle Fourche and Bill Wahlfeldt, Sturgis; two daughters, Bobbie Wahlfeldt, Newell and Roxie Huston, Sturgis; four sisters, LaMerne Lee, Laramie, Wyo., Wanda Hogan, Sturgis, Ardith Holmes, Casper, Wyo., and Hope Septka, Sturgis; two brothers, Marvin Symonds, Newell and Donald Symonds, Longmont, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis and 9 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis Thursday, July 12. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at the church with the Rev. Harold Delbridge officiating.

Burial will be at a later date. A memorial has been established to the Newell Ambulance Service.
