SPEARFISH | Maynard Keith Dehnert, Jr., 73, died June 30, 2015 at the Spearfish Hospital. Keith was born January 23, 1942, to Maynard and Gloris Dehnert. Keith attended school in Ipswich and graduated from Northern State College in Aberdeen in 1965. After working for GMAC, when no one would hire him to sell cars due to lack of experience, he bought his own dealership in Ipswich. He later worked as a stockbroker in Huron. He served in the Army reserves from 1965-1971. On February 5, 1966, Keith married Virginia (Ginny) Mae Paul at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lead, SD. After living in Mobridge, Watertown, Ipswich and Huron, they moved to Spearfish in 2013. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ginny; his daughter, Kim (Troy) McKenney of Spencer, IA; son, Brian (Jennifer) Dehnert of Mandan, ND; grandchildren: Gloria, Nathan, Isaac, Andrew, Thad, and Simon McKenney and Gavin Dehnert; mother, Gloris Dehnert of Watertown, SD; brother, Kenneth (Lynn) Dehnert of Burnsville, MN; sister, Kathryn (Mike) Steinhoff of Watertown, SD, and a host of friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his father. Family visitation will be held on Thursday. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1020 State St, Spearfish.
