Maynard Bailey "Mike" Briggs, 93, of Piedmont, SD, died June 28, 2018 at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Fort Meade, SD.

He was born in South Dakota to George William and Inez Elsie (Collins) Briggs on March 23, 1925.

He was married to Mary La Rea (De Haven) Briggs. His wife preceded him death in 2014

Maynard served in the US Marine Corps in WW II. Both Maynard and Mary are interred at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
