ST. FRANCIS - Melvin Ray French, 65, St. Francis, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Survivors include 11 children; three brothers; three sisters; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friend, Wanblee Guerue, St. Francis.

Graveside rites will be at 10 a.m. today at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, with the Rev. Willard Olsen officiating. Military honors will be provided by Sturgis Veterans Honor Guard. Family and friends may gather at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis before leaving for the cemetery.
