When Michael Phillip Deibert was born on 26 August 1911, in Perkins, Bon Homme, South Dakota, United States, his father, August Frank Deibert, was 26 and his mother, Mary Eva Schmaltz, was 19. He married Georgia Rikka Krause on 2 December 1946, in Baker, Fallon, Montana, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He lived in Brushy Township, Perkins, South Dakota, United States for about 25 years. He died on 29 January 2007, in the Fort Meade VA Hospital, Meade, South Dakota, United States, at the age of 95.

Michael served in the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) in 1934 & 1937.
